SHOCKING! Dwayane Haskins struck by a Dumptruck!

Dwayne Haskins, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback was killed by a dump truck Saturday morning in South Florida.

The Steelers re-signed Haskins, a 24-year-old quarterback, last month.

Haskins was attempting to cross Interstate 595's westbound lanes near the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Broward County when he was hit by a dump truck.

The event occurred as he was "walking on (the highway) for unclear reasons," according to a news release from the patrol police.

In recent days, Haskins had been in South Florida working out with some Steelers teammates, as captured in Instagram stories.

The news of Haskins' death elicited emanations of grief from around the league and beyond.

"With the untimely passing of Dwayne Haskins, I am devastated and at a lost for words," Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said in a statement provided by the organization.

"Upon his arrival in Pittsburgh, he soon became part of our Steelers family and was one of our hardest workers, both on the field and in our community," Tomlin said in a statement.

"Dwayne was a fantastic teammate, but he was also a wonderful friend to so many others. I am very saddened," he further added!

Tomlin also said that his prayers are with his wife Kalabrya and his entire family!
